The Brazen Alter
So if you took the life of an innocent person, their blood was on your head.
So they, in speaking that, they actually cursed themselves.
And the only way they're going to be set free—there'll never be peace in Israel.
It doesn't matter what you do.
They talk about peace treaties, they talk about everything.
There'll never be peace until they accept Jesus Christ because they're under a curse.
And Jesus is the only one that can set them free from that curse.
So...
Yeah, so, uh, You know, that's the great thing about the cross, and that's the great thing about the blood.
Actually, next time, we'll probably go into looking at the principles of the cross.
We talk about it, you know. Paul says he preached Christ. What's the whole significance of the cross, right?
You know, if we understand everything that Jesus did, then we can walk in it—we can walk in that truth.
Good.
Okay.
Um... I need a longer table.
Mm.
Yeah.
Put an extension on here.
Yeah.
I mean, just take one of those, and then pass them over around.
Thank you. You want two?
Well, I'll be able to get the one from last week.
Yeah.
I'll copy Enid's note.
Yeah?
Yeah.
There you.
Thank you.
All right.
What is that?
Yeah.
Yeah, three was last week.
Yeah, my name.
Four now.
What is your price?
Name your price.
Computer.
Warrners.
Specially, great.
Now we need to get in, one.
Don
Just one?
You sure?
You can have some more, if you want.
How made you out?
Actually, I might grab one for Bev.
Yeah?
Yeah, that's all right.
Yeah. Yeah, I just...
Stop, you swearing.
Don't get swearing over there.
She doesn't eat them. What, she doesn't?
She's a chicken.
Oh. Yeah, yeah, shot him.
I've never tried him.
And I think other people pronouncing shit and would say whatever.
Oh, my God.
Oh, gosh. Ruth.
It appeals to my naughty side.
Okay, so...
No, you wouldn't have a naughty side.
But, yeah.
It's like the dog, isn't it?
The kid's okay.
Okay, we might go this way. Just take one... on fire.
Where am I?
That was a spam, eh?
What's this one, then?
Oh, don't worry, I'll jump.
Good.
See you.
Oh, I did it again. Oh, wow.
You got two?
You got one for yourself?
I got one for bed, and one for me, yeah.
Three, 10, 10...
Just that, um, little handout will... I'll just show you something, 'cause we mentioned a few weeks ago about the creative and redemptive weeks.
This is a chart that doesn't go fully into the redemption timeline, but I'm going to show you something from Scripture and how God weaves truth together.
But they would do that at the end.
And then get in...
Yes, sir.
Very good.
What is it, by the way?
Is this, like, a sullying thing?
I love it.
Yeah, there's a highlight.
King song.
I've never seen a...
I haven't either.
Oh, so...
Yeah, it's better than the neck ends, yeah.
Yeah, it doesn't go through.
This is soft crown, yeah?
The soft crabs.
I've gotten from Kurl.
Yeah, that's how I get out of hours from Kuran.
Yeah.
What's Kurong?
It's a Christian shock. Oh, you're learning.
Yeah.
It's a Christian book shop.
You can get stuff online with it as well. If you go online...
Yeah,
Thank you, man.
Well, as long as you're using your wallet.
If you do go, then save up for a little while before you go, because... I always...
It's all really good stuff, and you want to buy everything. That's why.
Oh, wow.
Not everyone.
Oh, it sounds like a date, Enid.
It's spelt K 00 R O N Z.
Have a look online before you go.
Yeah, I've seen that one before.
I don't think you have shopping.
Yeah, yeah, the same as I know. You like, doesn't it?
Yeah. They're not as big, but still...
The
Yeah, it's not as big.
No, it's not as good.
You use a pencil sharpener?
Yeah, yeah.
Yes, we've got, um, Jeff's dad.
Yes.
You know, the really old ones.
Yes, yes.
And it hit all different holes in this.
Oh, Father's Day's coming up in by me somewhere.
What do you want?
Oh, just joking.
They have everything from... stickers...
I still not big enough. Like, footmarks, to jumpers, and T shirts, and... a whole range of books.
Just a mass, matter, Christian.
Oh, that's good. It's not... not just our kind of Christian books, but Catholic Christian books and all kinds of Christian books, you know, from Orthodox.
It's not just one particular thing like we go through, but...
Oh, yeah. It has a whole range of Christian stuff, so.
Well, I do know I've been wanting to read a case from Christ, so maybe they have that booked.
Yeah, have a look online.
You can probably order it.
Very good. They sign it to you.
Big yours?
I just have you turned on.
Not yet, because we're about to pray and then we'll turn on.
Yeah.
Yeah, your conversations have been recorded.
Oh, shit, and conversations.
record there.
Hey, there's been a...
Not so much in the group outside of the group, and if people ask you, they're asking about the recordings that we're doing.
I spoke with Pastor Chris yesterday, and he's working with Lige on how we're going to be able to set it up and do it.
So probably within the next game.
Obviously, a lot of people miss out. We've been looking at whether to hold a night-time meeting, but we already have so many meetings, including connect groups and everything else.
We're just trying to find a suitable time and space.
This possibly is, but, um, yeah, doing the recordings, uh, and then they'll get, um, uh, they're working out which is the best way to, uh, put it on. And so it gives...
Yeah, it won't necessarily be a podcast.
They're looking at actually doing it through a Google Drive or something like that.
Oh, so you've got access to some technos.
Whatever?
Yeah.
So, when I'm...
It probably means that instead of everybody being able to access it, just the ones that you want to access it.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, going through a Google Drive, so...
Yeah.
So, um, that's the update on that area, but it is being worked on and it's not just being kicked into the background.
They're just trying to find out probably just which is the best way to go about it.
Okay, big morning this morning, not long in notes, but some things.
Just more so I want to try and make a bit more time in question time.
Pray for me.
No, just give him brace.
Rabbit warrant?
I got an appointment at 11, but that's OK.
Very good.
Well, let's pray, and then we'll get underway.
Father, we thank you.
We just thank you for the study.
We thank you for, even though we're just touching the very edges, God of the amazing amount of truth that you have here in this, in the Tabernacle of Moses, and its significance and how it relates to us, how it relates to our approach to you, our redemption, our walk with you, and God, we just thank you for that, our hearts and minds are open, Lord.
This morning, Holy Spirit, we invite you as a teacher.
We ask that you would enlighten us and open the eyes of our understanding to your Word. May it not be merely knowledge that we gain, but knowledge that we put into practice, causing transformation within our lives.
It helps us to come closer to you, draw closer, to understand our salvation and what you've done, Lord God, and what you're going to do.
And God, we just, we thank you.
We invite you, let your presence, let your teaching anointing.
Just rest over this time in Jesus' name.
Amen.
Okay, brazen laver.
So it was the 2nd article of furniture in the outer court.
As we know, the outer court speaks of the Law Age. That's why we see the brazen altar, which we looked at last week, pointing to the cross.
The sacrifice, the shedding of blood, all of that sort of thing.
It was the, and as we came through the gate, I, I deleted the thing on my phone.
It came up as a different thing, but it was a, it was a quote from a very high profile religious leader about there being one God, but many ways of coming to him.
And included all the different faiths, the Muslims, the Christians, all sorts of things, Hindus, Buddhists, and that.
And they all come, you know, in their own ways, but there is only one way to God, which we're finding out in the tabernacle.
We looked at the gate, the first entrance, and then at the door. Along with the veil, all three speak about Christ.
And how that approach is only one way to God.
You can't come any other way. As John says, all who came before him and did not enter by the door were thieves and robbers.
So you can gain access to the tabernacle, but you would, um, because you haven't come in the right way, there's actually, um, there's a, there particularly even for priests and that sort of thing, there, to enter into a, in, come in the right way.
Otherwise, they'd be judged by death.
So, yeah, God is pretty strict.
We sort of looked at that, the closer we go, the narrower of the way, the obstacles, the word, you know, come in through the wide gate, but strait, all the strait gate, and straight actually means obstacles and things, our Christian life is not a clear track.
It's a narrow way.
It's, it has got obstacles.
That's why we've got to work in our salvation and overcome the things that, you know, as we're putting off the old person and that. So an enormous amount of truth, if we, you know, if we can go into all the different bits and pieces of the tabernacle and what it sets out.
But it really, the ultimate is, you know, the whole thing is our approach to God, the dealing with sin, so the brazen altar, again, coming back to that, is that dealing with the sin, you know, come through the gate, uh, which speaks of Jesus.
We come through Jesus, the only way and the only approach to God. The first article is the brazen altar, which represents repentance and dealing with our sin. That leads us to the second article of furniture, also in the outer court.
And it's the brazen laver.
It's an article of furniture placed in line with the brazen altar. We come through the gate, encounter the brazen altar, and then come to the laver before the tent of meeting—the holy place and the most holy place—which was essentially a large tent.
You know, if we put it into it with 2 sections.
And so that's all it is.
So, you know, the whole approach here.
Um, on our way to uh, we're looking at it from man's point of view, man comes through repentance and he's, and he's approached to God, if we were to go the opposite and start at the most holy place, God comes through grace to reach out to me.
So there's different ways in our approach looking at man's approach or God's approach.
We're looking at man's approach and that's, you know, to see what we're, you know, how we go about, all these different things.
that, you know, we look at it nowadays with Jesus Christ being born again, but here it was being pictured in typical form right back in the tabernacle of Moses, only just where Jesus fulfilled all of these areas.
So, this article of furniture, it's um, it's got the least information about it.
There's no measurements.
Uh, of how so uh, the, the whole primary purpose of the laver was to contain water for the washing.
All right, in that word washing, up the top there, for the washing of the priests.
And possibly in their animal sacrifices as we, as we see later on.
So, uh, just in a, you know, what we can get out of Exodus 30 versus 17 to 21, the laver consisted of a of a bowl and a foot.
And it doesn't give any measurements, and it was made of brass.
So if you could imagine a big basin and then, you know, if it was on a stand, that actual stand was like a smaller basin.
And this is what tradition says.
The Bible doesn't, uh, doesn't describe that, but the tradition brings it out that the foot of what we call the foot was a smaller basin.
The priest could wash his upper body, face, and hands in the larger bowl, while the smaller bowl underneath—the foot—was where he washed his feet.
There was a washing of the hands and feet as part of this particular ministry.
And so, um, It's interesting to note too that all the other aspects of furniture, um, in the holy and most holy place, actually dealt with God.
They were all pointed to God.
This piece of furniture, particularly points to the priest.
which is significant for us, because the Bible talks about in Peter, that we are kings and priests.
So we see what it's, what it's looking at back in those days, understanding what it is, and uh, and then its application to us today.
There's a whole point of, um, in the areas of Bible study, you go back in their time.
So you've got to interpret the culture, you're going to interpret the history.
Um, those that went, you were asking, um, this morning, Chris, about, um, you know, one Corinthians 11, which we're doing here now, doing in our connect groups.
And so in the areas of how do you interpret that?
Well, you've got to go back to the culture.
And false doctrines come out of incorrect interpretation.
You know, 1 Corinthians 11 discusses women, and elsewhere Paul addressed women being quiet in church. An incorrect interpretation then produced the doctrine that women cannot speak in church.
Yet that conflicts with New Testament teaching, because some of Paul's most significant fellow workers in ministry were women.
Yeah. Yeah.
So what was he talking about in those days?
Oftentimes he was talking about husbands and wives.
When you go back and you look at the word man of the word woman and you go look into congregation, how they ran their church services and all that sort of stuff that, yeah, he, he wasn't, he wasn't speaking.
So your culture, so understanding the, the, the history, the culture, another thing that you got to interpret is the language.
What's the language?
They spoke in a totally different language.
And we're looking at a word this morning that in one sense is we look at it as soul, but actually in the Hebrews, it speaks about one of its interpretations is kidneys.
And if you put kidneys in there, you think, what the heck is God talking about here?
But, but you sort of go into it, so, so, uh, and the last area is geography.
It's coming.
But Ahab, Ahab went, um, not Ahab, um, anyhow, whatever his name was, starts with an A anyhow.
But Jezebel's husband.
Anyway, he tells him, bolt men, rains on its way.
So he's in his chariot and he goes from Mount Carmel down to, I think it's Jezreel or whatever else.
the king.
But if you study the geography, all of your son, it's not just, you know, running from here to Rockingham City.
It's... Ahab.
Yeah, it is a house.
But yeah, it wasn't it wasn't just a short distance.
Uh, he was, he was going, if you started the geography, Jonah was on a way when he, when he was, um, when he was going away to, to Tashish, he was going 1000s of kilometres away from where God wanted him to be.
You know, in his rebellion against God.
So understanding it puts in the light.
So if you're into looking into that, you know, look at the geography, look at the language, look at the history, look at the culture, and find out what it meant to them in that day, but then how does it apply to us today?
So that's why when I'm packing this sort of stuff.
What did it mean back in that day?
How does it apply to us today?
So, uh, it relates to the priest.
So straight away, you know, if we read something, if you're into looking at the Bible, say, wow, this is particularly a priestly duty and there's a great responsibility.
So I need to take note of this because I'm a priest.
Not a priest in, you know, in the natural, but I'm a spiritual priest, so there's going to be spiritual applications to my life.
So, uh, it was constructed, again out of solid brass, both in the outer court was um, solid, uh, was brass.
We had the brazen altar, had the shittim wood overlaid with the brass.
This was made out of solid brass, no wood at all within it.
And because we know that, um, that gives us this idea of the purpose of the ministry, brass, again, symbolic of strength, firmness, endurance, judgement against sin.
as well.
which we covered a lot in that.
So we're looking at these two articles of furniture in the outer court.
Why do we why do we say that this is old covenant?
Pretty well all covenant.
When you read about the Old Covenant, judgement against sin is a consistent theme: obey or, basically, bow or burn.
Um, really, you know, God said, uh, if you obey my my laws and my government, my laws Deuteronomy 28.
You did so, Blay.
You have all the curses, everything will go wrong for you.
Everything will fall apart for you.
And that sort of thing.
So judgement, judgement was a big thing.
God never held back.
Like, imagine God moving in today's times like he did in the old covenant.
Look at the lives of Israel.
his own people, men when they stepped out of line.
God even saying to Moses, step aside and, you know, I'll give you some new people.
I'm going to wipe out these stiff-necked people.
Well, and a few stiff-necked people around today, you know, in the church.
Thank God for his mercy and his grace.
His compassion.
at that.
But it's only to a limit.
God only works to, he works, there's always God repented.
You brought us out here to wipe us all out?
Come on, rethink that, God.
Not that God didn't know it already, but it just exposed something out of Moses' heart and the compassion that he had for the people and God said, okay, I won't do it.
He said, I repent.
Now, in the words, he changed his mind in that sort of, in that sort of a sense there.
So very interesting in these areas.
So the whole thing, this, this outer court, this, this place, the place of the old covenant, and, you know, Jesus came, and he basically, when he died, he rid himself.
Hebrews chapter 9 in Hebrews chapter 10.
If you want to understand these things, uh, one speaks about the blood, the other speaks about the body. And so, it gives you great insight of, um, you know, this whole sacrificial system and and what Jesus did and for that. So, look at that.
Um, the laver was made from mirrors.
They would get the brass, they would highly polish the brass, because that then would cause a reflection.
We have different mirrors today.
But what they use.
It's interesting that these mirrors were gathered from among the tribes of Israel, brought in, melted down, and used to make the laver.
So all of a sudden, again, when you're reading the Bible and to give you some insight, when you see something like this, oh, it's made of mirrors.
Instead of just reading over it, mirrors.
You should always ask: why mirrors?
What does a mirror do?
Start to do some looking into a mirror and, and you get, you get an insight of what, maybe, what God is leading to here in this, in this operation of this, of this laver?
And so the, um, you know, the whole design and purpose of a mirror is to reflect an image that's in front of it.
Cleaning your teeth and doing your hair and whatever you do, putting your makeup on if you're a woman.
Tim and I didn't do it.
Hello? What? A moisturiser? By the closest I got, there's to put some shaping cream on.
Yeah.
So, you know, the mirror reflects the image in front of it.
Its primary purpose is to expose us to ourselves.
is to expose ourselves to ourselves.
shows us all the blemishes, all the things, and... Remember when you were a teenager, you looked into the mirror, and you had a zit, and you had, ooh, you know, exposing yourself to yourself.
So, all of a sudden we start to see something, a revolver in here, made of a mirror.
We go into what the object of a mirror is, because in modern days, we have mirrors that can alter the actual image.
How many to the exhibition or I don't know what you call it over here in Queensland, we call it the Ecker.
Um, but you know, your Perth show or something, you go into places and they have these mirrors and one of them, you know, slims you right down and walk into another mirror and you explode and you go tall or short or whatever else.
But that, you know, the primary function is you expose yourself to yourself.
Turn to, um, uh, you got your Bible Z, Joe.
Job chapter.
Just so that we Job chapter 42.
right, it's the last chapter.
Job verses 5 and 6.
I want to read these 2 scriptures.
Job, Job chapter 42 and verses 5 and 6.
It says, right at the end, everything that Job had gone through, and he says this at the end, he says, I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear.
And that's a lot of time where we start off.
We hear about God, we hear about God.
I'm looking into something that all of a sudden, as he's looking into and and he's seeing God for all God, it is, look what he says next.
Wherefore I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes.
In other words, as he looked into the, my eye now sees your, everything about you, your gloriousness, your greatness, your, all this thing that of, of who you are.
But who God was, then now exposes him for who he is.
I now see myself in a different light.
So, looking into the laver now is going to start to give us a little bit of understanding of its particular purpose.
Here we are, Isaiah 6 and verse 5.
Same famous scripture where we know about, but in the light of the function of the laver, Isaiah, Isaiah chapter 6.
And verse 5.
Then it said, I, woe is me, for I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips.
Why?
Why does he start to say that?
He goes on, he says, for my eyes, have seen the king, the Lord of hosts.
So there's something in seeing the a revelation of God that exposes things within our life.
So now we're studying to get an idea.
A labour made out of mirrors, reflection, revealing ourselves to ourself, and it carries water, one of the aspects of water.
If you look into very still water, what does it do?
Brings back a reflection.
Works like a mirror.
Reveals, reveals, as you look into it, it's going to reveal back to you, you know, whether there's spots or blemishes or dirt or whatever else over your face or your hands or, you know, whatever as you're looking into it, it begins to expose it.
So now we're starting, you know, a bit of an idea about this laver, that it wasn't just a bowl full of water, which we washed our hands and our feet in.
Um, it's got a, that's what it was to them.
But the truth behind it becomes far more to us.
Does King David say I always foresaw the Lord before my face?
I could have, yeah.
There is a scripture, I think, racist stuff.
Could have, yeah.
It's like reflection.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, um, So James chapter one, again, turn with me to James chapter one, and we're going to unfold this about, all right, what, again, we're looking into something, we're looking into water.
There's a washing that's going on.
James chapter one.
And verses 23 to 25, which most of us would probably be very familiar with.
James chapter 1, verses 23 to 25.
For if anyone is a hearer of the Word...
We hear the word depending on how you are, but at least let's just say if um, if we didn't do our own reading or listening or whatever else, uh, we come to church, we sit down, we hear the word.
Um, you know, uh, 50, what is it, 52 weeks a year?
So, you know, if you're regular, and you hear every Sunday, 52 times that word, you're hearing that word going in.
Obviously, today, far, far more with all the podcasts and things and YouTube videos and whatever else that people are watching.
So we're hearing the word.
We're hearing the word.
If any man, if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, Just take note of that.
Now listen to what he says.
Anyone that's a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man, beholding his natural face in a glass, or you can put there in a mirror.
For he beholds himself, and goes his way, and straightway forgets what manner of man he was.
In other words, even hearing the Word is like a person looking into a mirror and observing himself.
In other words, as we hear the Word, it exposes us—if we're open to hearing it.
And when I say hear, I don't mean merely with your ears. What is the Spirit of God saying to you?
You know, in every message, there's a part of that message, not the full message necessarily, but there will always be a part of that message that the Holy Spirit will want to highlight to you.
There'll be something that he'll want to say to you.
There was something that he want to, you know, uh, prick your heart with or challenge you or expose you with.
But see if we don't, once we see that,
If we don't apply it, we're like, oh yeah, I see that, but then we go away versus what is it?
verse 24.
He sees himself and then he goes his way and straightway forgets what manner of person he is.
So again, we're starting to see this area, like the Word of God, it's our mirror.
Not only does the word reveal our spots, wrinkles, blemishes, all the things within our life.
It also has the power to cleanse us.
So, um, In Ephesians 5, 26, 27, uh, talks about uh, the context as husband and wife.
It brings out the place where Jesus, again, moves from the husband and wife context to also Jesus and his church or Jesus and his bride.
And what does he say that his bride is washed in the water of the word?
So it's a cleansing.
Jesus is coming back for a bride.
Now, that's pretty high standard.
So how do we reach that place?
If, you know, well, without spot, wrinkle or blemish.
So expose an area of our life.
Let me just quickly, and I'll just... Um, Ephesians, Ephesians 4, 4 or 5?
No, I want to go to Ephesians 4.
I want to show you something.
Yeah, we talk about putting off the old men.
Well, what happens is Ephesians chapter 4 and um, uh, Well, read just from verse 22.
Ephesians 4 and verse 22.
We hear this thing about putting off the old man and putting on the new man.
Can I say this? Don't ask God to put off the old man.
Because God tells you to put off the old man.
Well, we're prone, oh, God, you know, I loved Pastor Rob's illustration on Sunday.
He had the clothing and he kept putting it off, kept putting it off.
And that, but on the on the other side of it, then there's a putting on.
Which is corrupt according to the deceitful lesson, be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Wherefore, now he gives a bit of an illustration of what this putting off and putting on is.
You know, people are, well, how do you put off and how do you put on?
Well, he actually gives it to you here in verse 24. 25.
Wherefore, put away lying.
So if you're a person that was subject to lying, or put away lying.
Put it aside.
Now, what's the new mean?
Speak every man truth with his neighbour.
Well, we are members one of another.
So we we put off.
We put off Ephesians, Ephesians 4, and we're up to verse 25.
Okay.
Verse 25.
It says, You can be angry.
But sin not.
So there's a certain area of anger that's okay.
Right.
And then there's an anger that steps over the mark and becomes sin.
Let not the sun go down on your wrath.
Okay, so if you start to get some start to deal with this area.
Neither give place to the devil.
Let him that stole, steal no more.
I love this scripture because a lot of people don't don't see the what's behind it.
So if you're out there and you're a thief and that, this is, you know, your former life was stealing all the time.
Steal no more. Instead, let him labour, working with his hands at something good. Now look at this.
Why do we go to work?
What's our, what's our purpose to go to work, earn money?
Prosperity.
Yeah, paid the bill.
You asked most people, why do you work?
Oh, well, got a mortgage, got rent, got to earn food, got to do this, got to do that.
All our, all our, all our bills and stuff, you know?
Bill's a great friend.
Visits weekly.
Monthly, what happened?
Hello?
Yeah.
But but notice what he said.
Don't steal to provide for yourself.
He moves right away from self.
I find this fascinating.
That you may have to give to him that needs.
What's the new man?
The new man's mindset in going to work is that he has provision for someone else.
It's good, isn't it?
Most of our, most of our idea is we go to work to have provision for ourselves, and then in in our provision for ourselves, then we think about someone else.
But here, it's like going from singular to plural, isn't it?
Yeah, you know, Bible says that God shall supply all of your needs.
Or what is what is what are your needs?
Do you know that one of your needs is to provide for others?
Mm, yeah.
We just took up an offering for Antoine, within, you know, in the church, and so we see, well, uh, that was, that's one of our needs.
God, God, thank you for your income into our life that we've got something to give to another person.
to supply their needs.
Yeah. And then Paul goes on to say, you know, out of Philippians 4, verse 19, that as you, he uses the whole thing.
How you supplied for my need, I'm going to supply.
God will supply all of your need.
According to his riches, not your riches, his riches.
Well, he owns the cattle on the 1000 hills.
All the silver and gold is his. I don't I don't think he's short of a quid.
When you look at it that way.
But again, the point is, now as you look into the word of God, now we just, we just looked into the word of God.
And all of a sudden, it showed us, you know, an aspect, oh.
One of the aspects of me going to work is not just revolving around me and my bills and needs and everything like that.
Well, one of my aspects that I need to log into me is the needs of others.
That I've got to give to the needs of others, to supply, support, the needs of others.
So there's, there's just an aspect of it, how it, how it opens up.
So, It's a, it's an application, um, looking into the word of God.
They, for exposing, it can be there then to, you know, begin to cleanse us.
No, it's not.
Working is now to do with others, as well.
Provision is to do with others.
God said, I'll prosper you so that what?
You know, that you've got back in Deuteronomy 28, um, um, no, Deuteronomy 8 and verse 18.
I give you the power to gain wealth, so that you can what, establish or confirm the covenant?
What are our whole things of wealth, um, and having wealth is not primarily ourself.
You know, it's primarily for the work of God.
But out of that, as we... Yep.
Oh, it should be 818 from memory.
You can actually read from verse one because it's the whole reason of God's taking Israel into the promised land and the blessing and all of this sort of stuff and how it's going to open up.
But he goes in there and he says, I've given you the power to gain wealth for the establishing that you may establish my covenant.
So, um, So it's beyond us.
But he doesn't, he doesn't move away in that scripture there, he talks about the houses and the land and the prosperity, but he said, don't get caught up in that thinking that it's been your ability that's been able to gain all of that.
It's been my hand upon you.
been my my blessing upon you.
I've given you the power.
All right, to do it.
So don't forget that.
So he goes, so he goes in to that.
So as we look into these areas, you know, the, we're looking into this word.
We're looking into, uh, maybe it deals with mindsets and how we think and all of a sudden, the word starts to expose areas to us.
This is, this is giving us an idea now about this whole process of this laver.
Although it was different in that day, dealing with sacrifices and the washing of the priest, we can still apply its meaning to ourselves today.
In John chapter 8 and verse 32.
Uh, it talks about, if you hear Sunday night, open it up, pastor Chris did it on Sunday morning about the word.
You know, you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.
What's truth?
Bible says that thy word is truth, the word of God is truth.
And so, um, it, it, the word 'knows' used to describe.
Now, 'know' does not mean merely intellectual understanding.
We can know the word.
I know I know people that know the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
They can quote scripture, they know, I call it, they know the address.
Where's the address? The address is chapter and verse or book chapter and verse.
That's the address of this scripture.
I'm not so good at that as regards to, you know, knowing, I just got it in me.
It's like a well that just once I get into it, just scripture just comes up and pops up and asks me the address and I think, well, it's somewhere in there.
Between Genesis and Revelation.
But here it is, you know, so you can know the Bible.
You can quote the Bible.
Well, good for you.
The word 'know' is not just an intellectual knowledge.
The word 'know' means experiential knowledge.
as well.
So it's experiencing the word of God.
So you can know that by the stripes of Jesus Christ, you are healed, but it's in the experiential side of that, that this word know becomes part of you.
You're now starting to live it.
We know a lot about, I shared it on Sunday night.
We know a lot of positional truth.
And that who we are in Christ, I'm this in Christ.
I'm that in Christ, I'm the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and, you know, I'm seated in heavenly places, far above principalities, powers, dominions, and mights, and, you know, in that.
The devil's under my feet.
You know, I have authority.
Um, I have power, uh, through the name of Jesus.
He's given me, he's given me his power and authority.
It's all positional truth.
Heritage.
Yeah, right.
That's where God wants us.
You know, and that's where this scripture is.
begin to apply it to our life.
It's not, it's not enough just to, um, you know, people know stuff, yet they'll sit in the back of the church and never get prayed for.
They know stuff, but they never they never step out to experience it.
They never step out to apply it to their life.
And so they live, they live in bondage.
Our particular area at the moment is freedom, but yet people are not living in the freedom because they're not living in the experiential truth.
They just, they're living in the positional truth.
Well, I know this.
I know this.
Well, Whoopi, to you.
You know it.
How's your life changed since you began to know this?
So, um, We've got to move this and this is, again, about the truth, about the word of God.
The word of God in one sense is regarding the laver as they begin to, you know, look into the laver, the whole mirror, the exposing of themselves, the priest.
You know, they had to wash themselves, we'll get into that in a minute, but but as they as they came over the laver, especially after they'd done the sacrifices, you know, there'd be blood and there'd be stuff and gunk and whatever else from the animals and that, so they had to go in.
And as they went in, before they plunged into it, there was a reflection out of the water back to him, exposing all of these bits.
So, they know they had to wash their face.
They knew they had to wash their hands; that was the exposure.
Now that could have looked into it and exposed it, but then did nothing.
So you see the, again, the application we see it in the New Testament.
Going back to James, we're hearers of the Word. We hear it, it exposes us, and it shows us something—but then we have to do something about it.
So now we're beginning to understand the laver attended by the priests. They handled the sacrifices and were washed, but what does it all point to? It points to us.
So, um, we see this amazing truth in uh, in our approach to God.
We come through the gate.
We partake of the brazen altar.
Now, um, there's 2 different areas.
When we talk about the altar deals with sin within our life.
The laver deals with stuff that we pick up in life.
as well.
You know, Jesus talked about, if you enter into a city or, you know, things don't go well, he says, shake the dust off your feet.
Um, interesting that the priests had to wash their feet, wash their hands and and stuff like that.
So the laver doesn't, it'll expose areas, but it's not necessarily like, um, in the depths of of sin.
It just could be, as I've written Danny, it could be an action, an attitude, ways of thinking, language that we speak.
Um, there's, there's, that's not just right up to the standard of God.
So we come to the we come to the altar in dealing with our sin.
It's the blood of Jesus Christ that cleanses us from our sin.
And, and, and so there's a, there's an area here of the laver, the laver deals with our sort of like our everyday, um, life in, in stuff and, you know, we can, we can be, we can be in a workplace and the workplace is so ungodly and that stuff can come around us.
We need to come.
We need to come back.
It's not that we're carrying sin, but that atmosphere and the, and the language and the thoughts and whatever else, you know, if you, um, you work in those sorts of areas and and you, it, it can come around you or we can come again to the word.
We can wash in the water of the word.
We can wash those things away.
We can wash the, you know, the contaminants, I think, is a word on loop.
We live in a world that we can be contaminated by.
Well, as we can, we can come back to the laver and we can wash it, this laver.
We wash in the water of the word.
And it was something that someone might said, but it's just sitting in our, in our, in the background of our thought. And so, you know, when we may look into the word or aware of the word, and so it meant I can't keep that.
I can't keep that thought there
I gotta deal with that thing.
And whatever.
And so that, that's, there's a difference between they, you know, the, the altar, you know, if we, we flat out, do a sin or something like that, we need to come back to the older, we come back.
What does one John say?
You know, confess your sin.
He's faithful and just to forgive you if you sin.
Cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
Okay?
But the laver does, it's more, it's more of the contaminants and the things that we pick up, what the priest picked up.
you know, in their daily work, even before they they went to work, they had to wash, as we'll see. So, a revelation of how John said to Jesus, um, I can't, I can't have you wash me.
Oh, let me wash you.
And Jesus said, if you don't let me wash you, then you can't be part of my ministry.
Yep.
Yeah. Yeah.
Exactly.
And so even, yeah, I won't get into that because I want to keep on track.
Hi, get up, rabbit warrens and then we're gone.
10, 22.
Um, just this scripture out of um, out of Hebrews 10 and 22.
I just read, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience.
Now, again, understanding the tabernacle, understanding.
What are they talking about when they talk about sprinkled?
This is this is why understanding these Old Testament things gives us revelation into, into New Testament, because it uses the language of the Old Testament and brings into New Testament.
Because there's there's 22 areas.
Sprinkled from mediaeval conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Speaks about the brazen altar, the blood, the blood of spring, they sprinkled the blood.
They put the blood.
You know, they go in, right at the dedication of the, of the, um, the tabernacle.
Everything was anointed with blood.
Right into the holy of holies in the mercy seat.
Around it, we never got into it, but around the horns, on the brazen altar.
It had 4 horns on it, and they were, they were sprinkled with blood.
The sacrificial blood to sanctify it, to set it apart for God's use.
So, we are sprinkled in the sense we come to the brazen altar.
With the with the blood of Jesus Christ.
So understanding is when we're reading Hebrew, oh, I know what that means now.
Yeah, the sprinkling of the blood deals with my evil conscience and then washing my body in the pure, you know, wash with the pure water.
Oh, what's he talking?
I've come now to the laver.
And I'm washing at the laver.
Interesting.
How?
And they says, there's what, you know, people say,
Oh, don't worry about the Old Testament.
Well, you can't understand the New Testament unless you understand.
You know, some of these things about in the Old Testament.
Oh, Tabernacle of Moses are, a waste of time.
you know, we, that's not, that's not for us today.
Well, yes, it is.
They have a New Testament scripture.
It goes to the altar and to the, but you got to understand 1st what is, what is this sprinkling and washing?
What does it relate to?
Now we can put it together.
The laver also speaks of, right down the bottom of your notes, self-discovery.
Ah.
This is mine.
It is.
Self discovery.
Wow.
The laver and the water and that sort of thing.
It's built around the word.
So the word shows us what we are, what we ought to be, and all that we can be.
Wow.
As we delve into that word of God, that's why the, you know, the word is so important to our life.
What we are exposes us, what we are.
It was the Word that exposed the fact that we were sinners before God.
And then it moved on to, you know, what we ought to be.
And then it moved on from there.
All that we can be.
All that we can be in Christ Jesus, all that we are or positional truth.
But yet as we, as we begin to put it into practice within our lives, it, you know, we, we, we're progressing, we're moving forward. And so, um, the Brazen altar is basically judgement against our sin.
That's why it's brass.
And the brazen laver is judgement against ourself.
It exposes ourself.
One Corinthians, read this.
1 Corinthians 11.
I'll just read it out just for the saving of time here.
It says this, for if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
It's in the context of the communion and meals and that sort of thing you're studying in connect groups if you're in a connect group, doing one Corinthians 10 and 11, uh, this is in that, but judging ourselves, if we, if we judge ourselves, we'll not be judged.
The priestly ministry could not be performed without first washing at the laver. No ministry to the Lord is acceptable without cleansing first.
So good.
Speck in your eye.
Yeah.
That's why, you know, that's why when we come into, uh, we come into church, have we prepared ourselves?
Yeah.
We're coming into... We're not just...
it's not just a church service.
It's we're coming in to worship and honour.
What are we holding in our heart?
You know, the Bible says, you know, if you got aught with your brother, if you're bringing your gift to the altar and you've got aught with your brother, well, then get that fixed up before you come and present your gift.
How many people are coming? and they're, you know, they've got all sorts of different attitudes and whatever else, maybe sin in their life.
They just look at it as a church service, but we're coming in before the king of kings and lord of lords.
And they're not judging themselves.
They're not saying, well, I need to get my heart right.
I need to get this right before I offer my gift, my gift of praise and worship, my even my gift of giving and whatever.
Because God always looks on the heart.
It's not so much what we do.
What's the heart behind it?
What's, what is, what's the motivation?
What is it?
So, you know, when we come, are we are we are we 1st, you know, judging ourselves?
They didn't judge themselves here in Corinthians.
They ended up, um, you know, they were, they were sick and then death, they, they had no concept of the, of the idea of the body and the blood of Jesus Christ.
And so Paul says, you know, this is why there's a lot of you that are sick and unwell and, you know, some of you are even dying.
I wonder how much spiritual death enters the church today because believing priests fail to wash and prepare themselves before ministering to God.
Wow.
As you look into the word, it begins to expose areas, and it's sort of, oh, man, I don't know.
Yeah, you could be on your way to church and someone cut you off and whatever and so you... You bless them in a worldly way.
There you go.
Give them sign language, 'cause you can't speak.
Yeah, girl.
And that, and you, you know, you carry that into, you carry that into.
Oh dear Jesus, I lost it.
Yeah, let it just let that, let that area of, of, of self judgement, um, come into a sense.
So, you know, we looked at that.
So the priests had to wash both hands and feet at um, at this laver.
Now the hands speak of our service.
It's our service to the Lord, the function that we have inside and outside of the church.
You know, when you go to a job, you're not just going to a job.
You're serving the Lord.
Within that job.
If you look at it, work in the, in the, you know, the work, even Paul's, um, Paul's, Axel, um,
What's the word?
Exhortation to slaves that about how they treat their masters and even if a master is a bad master.
And what's their attitude, what's their way in that?
And so, it's not just, not just within the church that, you know, service is outside the church.
It's how we do things outside.
Are we honouring?
Are we uplifting?
Are we?
You know, those that are around about us.
How do we treat them?
Yeah.
As I always say, a lot of people, the only Jesus they're ever going to see is you.
And we're to be conformed to his image.
I used to laugh when I was in a secular job, and there was a lot of Christian guys, but they were fruit loops.
Absolute fruit loops.
And, and they would, they would be doing stuff and, and then they'd turn around and, oh, you need to come to church.
I worked with one man who was in church every Sunday, but when Monday came, he would swear like a trooper.
He had bad attitudes against the boss.
His work, well, he only did what, what was necessary to be done in that, and uh, and it won't behold if he went the extra mile or, well, that's all I need to do.
So yeah, that's that's it.
And whatever.
And then next minute, hi, you need to come to church.
What?
What do I see in your life?
You know, the Bible says taste and see.
How do people taste in sea?
Through us.
They taste of our actions.
They see how we deal with stuff.
And uh, hallelujah.
Ooh, pressure.
We'll have a repentant time there.
But it, it just, you know, these, these are the things, this is what the word begins to expose as we look into it and begins to show.
But then again, then we can start to apply it into our lives.
And uh, so they, they, to wash, service, um, they hand speak of service, their feet, uh, uh, feet speak of our life.
And our walk.
That's good.
Speaks of our life and our walk before the Lord.
Yeah. Um, you can look those scriptures up for the for the sake of time.
So, not only was the laver used for the cleansing of the priest, but it's also a site for the cleansing of the sacrifice.
The sacrifices had to be washed.
It doesn't say where they were washed.
The only sort of thing that we can see, though the priests were washed in the laver.
It's uh, it's a good chance that they, any animal sacrifice, it had to be washed.
It went through a ceremonial washing before it was put on the brazen altar, basically.
So there was a washing there.
So, again, how does that apply to us?
Well, we're both number one.
We are both priests.
As the Bible tells us, we are also sacrifices.
Romans chapter 12 and verse one.
What do we do?
over in Peter, it talks about, again, you know, us, the spiritual sacrifices.
So we're a priest in our function, but we're also a sacrifice.
So again, again this washing that we undertake, looking into the word, allowing the word to expose areas, then applying, you know, whether it's specifically in that particular word.
No, God may expose something in our life.
Oh, God, what do I do about that?
God will have another part of the word that then you can apply.
You, you, you begin to act out and apply to your life, which then becomes that cleansing part, putting it like we did in Ephesians.
putting off the old, and now we're putting on the new.
So, in summary, the whole purpose of the laver pointed to us being washed in the water of his word.
And uh, it was interesting to note that water was used to both judge and cleanse, both judge and cleanse the earth from sin.
We see that Genesis one.
Did God create the earth just, and it was covered by water?
Or is there something that happened that caused the water?
Uh, we see in Genesis, um, Noah's flood, Genesis chapter 7.
7 and 8.
We see in that in the flood, what did God do?
And cleanse the earth, what, what, water?
So he's used, if Genesis one and the water was there as a, as a pre-Adamic judgement, and that's a whole thing unto itself.
And then we see a like thing in Noah's time where everything was evil, every imagination was evil, the only righteous thing was Noah and his family.
They went into the ark.
And God closed the door. And that was the end, you know, God judged the world.
completely.
covered it with water and um, so there was a judgement, but there was a cleansing uh, as well.
Water baptism.
And so in the outer court, the believer experiences the 1st 2 witnesses, so to speak.
The witness of the blood and the witness of the water.
Now, if you read in 1 John 5 and verse 7 to 8, and we'll just finish with that and we'll go to 1 John 5,
It gives you an understanding here of what I'm talking about.
1 John, one John five.
Seven.
And versus 7 to 8.
I need to get better knowing where my books are.
Hey, it takes time.
There used to be a little jingle that we used to sing, you know, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy.
And you go right through the Bible.
So yeah, 1 John 5 versus 7 to 8.
For there are 3 that bear record in heaven, the Father, the word which speaks of Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Okay?
And these 3 are one.
And there are 3 that bear witness in earth.
The spirit, the water, and the blood.
And these 3 agree together.
So we've walked into, yeah, we've walked into looking at, we approached the Brazen Altar.
We've dealt with the blood.
We start into the holy of holies that, and so, you know, it has a significance as well.
Wow.
That's good.
Very cool.
Okay.
That was really good. Well done.
That's very good, you know, over time.
No, 'cause he's got questions.
Slightly.
Um...
Thanks for the confusing that last, I've done, that doesn't sink in for me.
Which part?
This one, John, 7 and 8.
Mhm.
My mom says, my phone station, there are three that testify.
The spirit, the water, and the blood.
Yep.
Three are in agreement.
Yeah.
It doesn't sink in. What's the matter?
You don't think?
Well, is that, again, as the, you know, you have the father, son, the Holy Spirit, they're a twist for me or they're a witness here on earth.
of, of, uh, there are dispensations.
This is why I gave you this little uh, outline here and just to...
Yeah, there are, there are times of dispensation.
We see, we see over and it's a particular thing through time.
We shared a few weeks ago how the um, A day in the Lord is a 1000 years, a 1000 years is one day.
Okay, so this, there's a bit of a chart for you to begin to have a look at that. And, you know, in relation to the tabernacle, you know, we've been talking about the out of court and it being the law period, then we come into the church age, which is the, which is the holy place, and then into the, um, most holy place, which is millennium age.
But the, yeah, the, in the dispensations, in a lot of the Old Testament, uh, there was a, just the, the dispensation on, on your chart.
You have the water.
So, you know, right from the beginning, we had water, the earth was covered with water, then we had the significant event of the Noah's, Noah's Ark and the cleansing and that sort of thing of the world, you know, with the water.
So there's there's this what they call dispensation.
We getting in a bit of a theology here.
So then we have a dispensation of the blood, which was largely around the law age.
All the sacrifices, 1000000s and 1000000s of litres of blood that were, that was shed in that period of time.
Up until Jesus Christ came, who was the one and only sacrifice.
So, you know, we've come through blood, we've come through water, and then the next witness or testimony is the spirit when we get into the holy place, how a lot of the stuff revolves around the spirit of God in each of the articles of the furniture within that.
That's why they call it the, you know, the church age.
We're in an age when Jesus, when Jesus ascended, um, He never left us as an orphan.
He said, I will send you another comforter.
The word another is not someone who's different, but the word another actually means in the Greek, the same as.
So when Jesus ascended, he sent the Holy Spirit, who is the same as Jesus.
But where Jesus was limited because he was human, he could only be at one place at one time.
The Holy Spirit is worldwide.
So now Jesus, the Holy Spirit is also known as the spirit of Christ.
And so he is he is there everywhere.
So he's now the 3rd witness.
So I've had the witness of the blood, we've had the witness of the water.
Now we have the witness of the Holy Spirit.
And as we move through those times, the ultimate is that, yeah, we come to the kingdom age, which is the very glory of God, Jesus dwelling amongst us for a 1000 years.
Yeah, it might not.
It's kind of like how Jesus actually has his ministry in it at the beginning of his ministry.
He was baptised.
He was washed as the blood of the lamb.
Then he went to the cross where he was crucified, which is the blood.
Yep, yep.
And then finally, the spirit.
Yep, yeah.
The giving of the Holy Spirit.
That's good.
How?
Let me show you something here.
Um, just to show you in the Bible that there's nothing there that's just there by chance.
And understanding, When sin first came into the world, God said to Adam, he said, the day that you eat, you shall surely die.
The day.
Notice that.
He didn't say the hour he didn't say the time.
He said the day that you eat, you shall surely die.
How old was Adam when he died, and when, do you know?
Off the top of your head?
900 or something, yeah.
930 years.
Close to a thousand.
Yeah.
A day in the Lord is a 1000 years.
No one, even the longest living person, never lived one day in God's eyes.
They live for 800, maybe 900, Methuselah, I think, was the oldest living person.
I think he was up around 900.
Not one person lived for a day in God's day.
They all dropped, they all shot for.
Good. They fell short.
What amazing, really?
Yeah, it is.
I'll show you something else and you can work on it off this chart.
John chapter 11.
And about Lazarus.
Ford um 4 days and 2 days.
I think it's, yeah, let's go.
Yeah.
He says he's not, it's not a sickness under death.
Jesus.
Verse 6, when he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode 2 days.
Why two days?
Yeah, about two days, still in the same place where he was.
So he heard he was sick, so he, he was um, yeah, so he, he didn't go and see him straight away.
He held himself back for 2 days.
Is that 'cause they were?
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I know other answer.
Possibly.
Notice down here.
Ah.
First, um.
Jesus said, verse 39.
Jesus said, take away the stone.
Martha, the cyst of him that was dead, said to him, Lord, by this time he stinks.
For he has been dead four days. Interesting.
Indeed, four days.
Let's go.
If you look at your chart, and you're probably being up on the two, I don't know whether you pick up on the board, Tim, but in your chart, from the time that time started when man sinned.
So if you go back to the beginning, you see it, you know, from the time that Adam sort of sinned in the sacrifice, time began.
When sin came in.
Okay.
So the time, we got sin going right down for how long?
Up to the up to the cross.
How long is that?
Four.
Four days or 4000 years.
Mankind has been sick or dead in sin.
4 days he stinks.
You know, sin stinks.
Four days.
So Jesus came and he dealt with that with the death.
So there's 2 areas of death that he's the death, he dealt with the death that that sin brings after these 4 days.
of that.
Now there's 2 days.
He related, he he held back for 2 days.
And Tim, you were going to say you said about the 2 days, you probably picked up on it.
Where does the 2 days, we'll see what you... comes up to the flood, isn't it?
No, no, not necessarily.
Yeah.
This is this is further.
Remember, Jesus held himself, he stopped himself for 2 days.
What's, what's the, what's the big teaching amongst the church that we're waiting for Jesus to come?
Yeah. 2000 years basically.
Or two days.
And what does Jesus do? After 2 days, he comes back to Lazarus, and that, and what does he do?
He resurrects him from the dead.
What's going to happen when Jesus comes?
The dead in Christ will rise first.
The resurrection.
That's why he said to Mara, I am the resurrection.
Okay.
So just in that area, how the Bible weaves in, there's nothing, there's no spare bits.
4 days.
He stinks.
Humanity stank of sin for 4000 years after Adam, when sin came into the world and then Jesus came.
All right.
After 4 days and he dealt with that sin, so to speak, all he dealt with that, with that, you know, the, the, just the, the stinking of sin.
And then... a lesson on time, because that's just going my mind.
Yeah. Okay, okay. It's getting around around.
It's just how, how, you, you weave.
Yeah, it's just how God has weaved truth, you know, throughout his word.
That's what's inspired.
By the Spirit of God.
No, human beings can't, you know, human beings would even know that Old Testament guys would know nothing about that, but just how God has planned just through a simple thing.
Um, like that, you know, just in Lazarus, the four days.
So when you see those sorts of things, don't go overly because sometimes you can try and get something out of everything, but when you sort of see that, what's the whole thing?
Resurrection.
you know.
Um, and start bringing back to life, dealing with something that was dead, uh, and whatever.
Oh 4 days, 2 days.
Um, We don't, I'm probably, We don't get it as much in church as not.
It's not sort of preached all that much in church now, but it's there when you start to look at it.
No one died in a day in the Lord, you know, no one went to a 1000 years.
They all died short.
No matter how long they lived.
They all died short.
They say, Adam died at 930 years, so it gives humanity and the basics of around about 70 years.
So we've basically got 70 or so years.
What to make up the day.
So all of these little, little truths and that, that, um, I thought I'd show you that, um, just it gives it a little bit of an outline, just depending on, um, you know, there's others that would differ from that.
There's other charts that would differ from that.
Depends upon your interpretation.
Yes.
So based off this chart, does that mean that, within 2000 years after death, we should go through the great tribulation before the seventh day of the Lord?
Yep, well...
The whole end time, whether it's um, Whether whether we go through a 7 year tribulation or a 3.5 year tribulation is built out of the interpretation of Daniel's 70 weeks prophecy.
That's where it all.
And there's, there's different understandings of that 70th week.
The one that I go through and see is, um, is the one where in the last week, it talks about the last week, there was 69 weeks, um, and I don't want to get because this is can get fairly deep.
But there was 69, so there was one week left.
So to speak.
And it talks about, it talks about, um, it doesn't name the person, and this is where the misinterpretation says the person gets cut off in the midst of the week.
Okay, so what's what's half of seven?
Three and a half. Three and a half.
So there's a last week out of the prophecy in the future, there's this last 7 days to be fulfilled.
But something happens in the midst of the week that brings it down to um, you know, 2 areas of 3.5 .
So within it, now some people say, well, the Antichrist makes those 7 year peace treaty, which I cannot find in the Bible at all.
It says he's confirming the covenant, how they get a peace treaty out of confirming the covenant.
In fact, there's a scripture in Galatians.
I don't know where what it is offhand, but the confirmation that that he's talking about, confirming the covenant means of confirming the Abrahamic covenant.
And there's a scripture in Galatians that actually testifies to that.
Very interesting.
Jesus came and his ministry was for 3.5 years.
And what was he doing?
He was confirming the Abraham covenant, basically.
They're getting in too deep for you, but for 3.5 years, his ministry was along that line of confirming the covenant.
But then he was cut off.
What was his cutting off?
His crucifixion?
So there's another 3.5 years.
Where do we find that other 3.5 years?
All of a sudden, we find it coming that the covenant was being, that covenant was still being confirmed.
All of a sudden we come into the book of Revelation, and we have 2 witnesses now, who they say is Moses and Elijah, that are upon this earth.
And they're carrying out Confirming this covenant for 3.5 years.
But it's also in that 3.5 years is the reign of the Antichrist, when he is revealed.
And so his move.
There are, there are five groupings of seven in the book of Revelation.
The antichrist only reigns for 3.5 years.
The 2 witnesses, uh, Revelation 11.
you can you can look it up.
Revelation 11, uh, then it goes into Revelation 12 and 13, which is all the symbols, symbolism of the Antichrist and all that sort of stuff, and that, but it's all revolving around 3.5 years.
Like it'll, it'll be times, time, and half a time, or it will be so many months, or it'll be, um, so many days, you know, 1000, but all of them, going on the Jewish calendar, which is 360 days in a year, all relates to 3.5 years.
It just puts it in different areas.
But there's never anything about a 7 year sort of thing.
We see when it's cut off, we see that it's it's, we see Jesus cut off.
Oh, here we are.
Revelation starts speaking.
It's all the way through it.
All right.
ruling, the right reign.
So the antichrist will, yeah, he'll reign for 3.5 years.
The 2 witnesses, they hate them because, you know, they testify. In the end, the 2 witnesses get killed and then it says the whole world will see them.
How are you going to, how does the whole world see them?
Well, anything can happen in the world now and it's beamed across your television.
That's what I was gonna say, yeah.
I've seen someone talk about it like with social media.
Yeah, everyone have it.
You'll have pictures of it.
You'll have everything.
So you'll see, yeah, you'll see.
The biggest, the biggest thing or the biggest, and this is, and I'm not going to get into it, I might, you know, feelings or what I've researched.
Um, does the church go through the tribulation period?
She is about to give birth.
Well, in scriptural ways the only way that a woman can give birth is that she's 1st got to be married.
So is this who's this woman married to?
Because she can't, she can't be pregnant in the eyes of God without being married.
So she's giving birth to the man, child, and it just gets deeper in it.
But the devil is waiting.
The dragon is waiting there to to, to capture this man child because he's going to be a, you know,
Be a bit of a deliverance and stuff like that.
But as soon as his birth, he's caught up to heaven.
And then it says that the woman is taken out into the wilderness, and she is protected.
Oh, for 3.5 years.
That's interesting.
Now, they're the ones that keep the commandments of God and everything like that, but they're the ones that suffer under the antichrist and are martyred, you know, for their testimony, they don't receive the mark of the beast or anything like that.
So, the question that goes up, and I've, I pointed out, is the whole church, all the people that are in the church, the bride of Christ.
Or are there a specific company of people that come up to the standard to be married to Christ? that become the bride.
And the ones that don't come up to their standard are still godly people, and they're the remnant that goes through at the end of Revelation 12.
They're the ones that are persecuted, the devil goes after them, and whatever, and they're the ones that suffer.
They're the saints.
That's why I don't believe in the rapture of the rapture, you know, takes place and, well, every godly person is going to be out.
Well, who are the saints that are on the earth then?
Well, my theory is that God, I, the way I think of it is, is that, you know, God doesn't promise us a good life on here.
Like if he was going to protect all of us from the tribulation, then why did his disciples, they went through the tribulation?
They went through their own tribulation.
Yeah.
So why would he protect us when they weren't protected, you know?
We're all these people, we're probably going to...
And it's just a test of faith.
you just have to really know that if you believe and you die in the name of the Lord and you don't take mark, that you will see the kingdom of heaven and it's greater than any pain we'll have on this earth.
See, there's one branch of teaching that goes out that says, we'll all be raptured out.
We won't face the wrath on this earth.
I don't really don't see that.
Um, I, to myself, I think that there's the bride, um, It's interesting that the bride came out of the side of Adam.
I think that the bride, and I may be wrong, and I'm not putting it forth as any sort of doctrine, but I see the bride as a company of people that, you know, are, that are so dedicated to God, that are, you know, Jesus is not going to be unequally yoked.
Now, whether there's, you know, some supernatural, we say that Jesus is not coming back for a church without spot, wrinkle or blemish.
But in the context, he's speaking of a bride.
Are you?
Like, you know, there's there'll be disaster.
Think Jesus is going to marry a church and within the church, unless there's a supernatural change.
There's a lot of half-hearted people there.
You know, they come to church, they love God, they might do their giving and that sort of thing, but they haven't got a real deep, um, intimate relationship with God.
Uh, there is, I see that within the bride, there's a certain quality, um, Yeah, you see people, you know, Jesus talking about the, um, Um, in Matthew chapter 7, ran about verse 25,
It a scripture that gets me.
You know, Jesus turns around and says, you know, not everyone that says, Lord, Lord, is going to come, you know, into the kingdom of God.
And he says this, and I believe that this is the key to this scripture, but those that do the will of God.
And he says, there'll be ones that say, oh, Lord, we prophesied in your name.
We cast out devils in your name.
We're healed, you're sick in your name now, there.
When you look at it, they're Spirit-filled people.
And then Jesus turns around and he says, depart from me, you workers of iniquity.
What?
They're doing all this stuff for Jesus.
And I think the key of it is that, you know, was what they were doing.
The specific will.
It's a general will of God that we we go around.
We pray, we cast out, we do that stuff.
But was there a specific will of God that where God wanted them to be doing something, but they thought, oh, no, we'll just carry on doing this.
So they were outside, even though there was a certain general will of God, but what specifically, um, you know, what God causes us to do, that we say, oh, well, no, I would rather be doing this.
I'd rather be, you know, this is it.
But God says, I want you to do this.
And if we carry on to live our life, we can go around, oh, look what I did for you, Jesus.
Look what I did for that.
Ministries are out there today.
You know, pumping their own, you know, balloons, so to speak, and oh, look at me, look at me, look at me, and whatever else.
Yet God couldn't walk them sitting in a church and supporting the local pastor.
Like I always thought it would be like, when he says that, it would be to like those people because they're doing it for themselves and not for God.
And they're trying to do their will and what they want, not what God is saying and what God wants.
Yeah,
His will.
Yeah, what is his will?
Like, um, You know, God could want you to serve in children's church.
Oh God, what are you talking about?
Oh, you know.
Me serving in children's church.
I'm out doing this and I'm doing that.
But that's what he wants you to do.
Because he's got to, it's not the serving.
He's got a purpose behind it.
There's always a purpose.
There's always God never does any.
Every miracle in the Bible has a purpose behind it.
If you can find out that person.
not just a, it's just not an account of what Jesus has done.
And there's a lesson to be learned out of that.
So, It's just finding it.
That's the big thing.
But that's, you know, just in the bases and and as I said, it comes down to an interpretation whether you're, you know, what you see and whatever is...
Yeah.
how you put all this together.
I throw something in there.
Go for it.
You know when they pierced Jesus' side when he was dead?
Yep.
Um, and blood and water rushed down.
Yes.
Was that the birthing of the bride?
Was that?
Ah, good point.
Because water comes with birth.
Yes?
And blood.
blood.
Yeah?
Yeah.
Ah, think about that.
Could be.
Yeah.
I'm still trying not to swear.
Oh, I... You see? Great.
Come on. Listen, too hard.
Okay, I'm actually not home.
I'm probably about 20 minutes away.
Yeah.
I'm still right there.
But it's... And that's that's the big lie that it is too hard for us.
Wait, wait, yeah.
Yeah. It's too hard for us.
That's why we've got to rely on here.
God, God, I need your grace.
That's why, Paul, you know, Paul said, God, I can't put up with this.
I can't put up with this.
And God turned around and says, yes, you can.
I'll give you my grace so that you can put up with it.
Yeah. It was interesting, and you bought out the...
Sorry.
It's yes.
You change.
You... Yes.
I gave you the power now, you said... Yes.
Put off the old man, yeah.
You gotta do it.
I work at a jail and, you know, everyone swears.
It's our language to prison.
It's in the language back to us, and it's really, it's so ingrained in me.
It's so, so ingrained to me.
I am a different person, too, than what I am at work.
Yeah, true.
But if you had a red on in that scripture where it says about putting off stealing and that, the last of it says, let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is edifying.
